January 1, 2019
Must start new year with a hike.  So I drove over to Crowders Mountain State Park near Gastonia, NC to explore the park.  Ended up hiking the Crowders Trail and Rocktop Trail
Crowders Trial rolls gently through the hills, nice walk. Then we intersect Backside Trail that goes up steeply, and then has 237 stairs just for your leg burning pleasure to put you on top.
I then continued on tower Trail for a short distance until taking RockTop Trail. This little trail has some rock scrambles in it, nothing like where you may fall to your death rock scrambles, but 10 foot high or so that you have to scramble over the top of, probably a piece of cake for younger folks, but was hard on my knees.
From there it was all downhill back to intersect with Crowders Trail back to the parking area.
Total distance was around 6 miles, it was sunny and warm.

Proof I was there

Yes, the trail goes up over to the left of the tree!
